SANTA FE – The New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department (ALTSD) is proud to announce the appointment of Stephanie Telles as a new member of the ALTSD Policy Advisory Committee (PAC). Telles, a dedicated advocate and experienced leader, will bring valuable insights and expertise to the department’s mission of enhancing the quality of life for older New Mexicans and their families.

“We are excited to have Stephanie join our Policy Advisory Committee,” said Cabinet Secretary Designate Jen Paul Schroer. “Her passion for improving the lives of New Mexicans is evident in her extensive record of community service which aligns perfectly with our mission that all New Mexicans have access to the highest quality of care and services. We are confident her knowledge and dedication will greatly benefit our department’s efforts.”

Stephanie Telles, a native New Mexican, brings a wealth of experience in both public and private sectors to her position on the ALTSD PAC. With over two decades in various roles spanning government accountability, operational proficiency, and effective communication, Telles has a demonstrated track record of success. Her deep-rooted understanding of the unique challenges facing New Mexican families, especially those with young children and aging parents requiring support, make her a tremendous asset for this role.

“I am immensely grateful to Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham for her trust in me and the other members of the ALTSD Policy Advisory Committee,” said new PAC member Stephanie Telles. “The aging population in New Mexico are our history keepers, our guiding lights, and the foundations upon which our communities thrive. This isn’t just an appointment, but also an opportunity and a profound responsibility that I am ready to embrace wholeheartedly.”

As a PAC member, Telles will participate in the development of recommendations and help raise awareness of the department’s initiatives to better serve New Mexico’s aging and long-term care community. The department looks forward to working with Telles and the rest of the PAC to continue to build a more vibrant, inclusive, and caring New Mexico.
