Join us for a day of education, resources, and community awareness for caregivers. Free on-site and in-home respite care is available for this event, and lunch will be provided by Lorenzo’s Italian Restaurant.

- Dr. Janice Knoefel | University of New Mexico Memory and Aging Center, “How to Get a Diagnosis”

- Hollis Walker | Dementia Friends Coordinator for the Memory Care Alliance, will present on “Spirituality of Caregiving”

“Hands-on Caregiving” an “after the program” workshop, taught by Janet Smith, R.N., Director of Community Palliative Care of New Mexico. This class will teach caregivers techniques in safe transferring, bed mobility, showers, etc., to assist their loved one.
