2026 Volunteer Recognition Awards

Compassion in Action

At New Mexico Aging Services, we believe people change lives.

Every day across our state, volunteers step forward with generosity, patience, and heart. They deliver meals, offer companionship, advocate for older adults, support caregivers, and stand beside New Mexicans with dignity and respect. Their work is more than service—it is compassion in action.

The 2026 Volunteer Recognition Awards honor individuals and groups whose dedication strengthens communities and enhances the well-being, independence, and dignity of older adults and people with disabilities throughout New Mexico.

We invite you to nominate a volunteer whose commitment reflects excellence, compassion, and the spirit of service that defines New Mexico Aging Services. Whether their impact is steady and quiet or bold and transformative, their contributions deserve recognition.

Selected volunteers will be honored in April during Volunteer Appreciation Month. From this group, additional awardees will also be recognized at the Conference on Aging in September.

Join us in celebrating those who remind us, that aging with dignity begins with connection.

Submit a nomination and help us recognize compassion in action.
